Lytle was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Payton Devaney did her best to prevent it. Devaney wasn't messing around, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. The contest was her third straight with at least one stolen base.

Devaney and Lytle will venture away from home to face off against Cotulla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
