Volleyball Recap: South Webster Jeeps vs. Unioto Shermans
If South Webster was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Notre Dame on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jeeps fell just short of the Unioto Shermans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Jeeps were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Shermans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, South Webster sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-9.
Several Jeeps players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinley Horner, who had 15 digs. Another player making a difference was Emma Campbell, who had ten digs.
Unioto found their leader in sophomore Kiley Puckett, who had 14 digs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Webster will challenge Southeastern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Unioto, they will venture away from home to take on Chillicothe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
