Softball Recap: Twin Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It's playoff time, and Twin Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Craftsbury Academy Chargers 13-11. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Tori Dix was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Walker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Twin Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.6.

Twin Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Craftsbury Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

As of now, neither Twin Valley nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
