Football Game Preview: Arlington Catholic vs. Archbishop Williams

On Friday Archbishop Williams will take on Arlington Catholic at 6:00 PM. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Archbishop Williams have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.

Archbishop Williams took an ego-bruising defeat against Bishop Fenwick two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Saturday. Archbishop Williams walked away with a 27-20 victory over St. Mary's. The win was a breath of fresh air for Archbishop Williams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, the match between Arlington Catholic and Cardinal Spellman last Saturday was not a total blowout, but with Arlington Catholic falling 14-29, it was darn close.

Archbishop Williams's win lifted them to 2-4-1 while Arlington Catholic's loss dropped them down to 0-6. We'll see if Archbishop Williams' success rolls on or if Arlington Catholic are able to steal their positive momentum.
