Football Recap: University Hawks vs. Musselman Applemen
University had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 40-21 win over the Musselman Applemen on Friday. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 64-26 victory the Applemen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2020.
University found their leader in sophomore Brody Kehler, who rushed for 101 yards and four touchdowns.

University didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Marcos Kniska led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Kehler got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

University will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Parkersburg South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Hawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Musselman, they will take on Loudoun Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
