Mountain Heritage dropped their record down to 9-11 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 9-2 to the Draughn Wildcats. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Mountain Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Deyton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Draughn, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.

On Draughn's side, Mountain Heritage's batters probably weren't too happy with Griffin Stephens, who pitched a no hitter and racked up seven Ks (he gave up a single walk). Stephens also tossed an earned run, which is notable because the Wildcats are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jacob Mull, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Draughn is undefeated when Mull posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Chase Yambor was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

As of now, neither Mountain Heritage nor Draughn have any future games scheduled.
