Volleyball Recap: Miami Beach Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against TERRA Environmental last Friday, Miami Beach came back down to earth. The Hi-Tides fell 3-1 to the Coral Gables Cavaliers on Monday. The game marked the Hi-Tides' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Miami Beach started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was William Hardie, who had 19 digs and two assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in March.

Miami Beach's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Coral Gables, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Miami Beach will welcome Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coral Gables, they will head out to face off against Belen Jesuit at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
