After two games on the road, Banning Lewis Academy is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Florence Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Banning Lewis Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Florence will be coming in after a loss.
Banning Lewis Academy put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They claimed a resounding 49-19 win over Mitchell on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Banning Lewis Academy has posted yet this season.
Banning Lewis Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elany Canada led the charge by scoring 11 points. Natalia Burton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Florence's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to James Irwin 29-24.
Banning Lewis Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Florence, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-10.
