Volleyball Game Preview: Juab Wasps vs. North Sanpete Hawks

The Juab Wasps will head out on the road to square off against the North Sanpete Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Juab is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Tuesday, Juab beat Juan Diego Catholic 3-1.

Juab was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, North Sanpete didn't have quite enough to beat American Heritage on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Sanpete took American Heritage into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 23-25, 19-25, 15-12.

Juab's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for North Sanpete, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's game: Juab has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.2 aces per game. However, it's not like North Sanpete struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Juab suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Sanpete in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Wasps avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
