Football Recap: Brady Martin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Quakertown over Upper Dublin

Football Recap: Quakertown Panthers vs. Upper Dublin Cardinals
It was a proper cat-fight when Quakertown challenged Upper Dublin on Friday. The Panthers took a 42-28 bruising from the Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 37-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Martin, who threw for 263 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Quakertown's leading receiver Carter Tucholski was Martin's top target yet again, picking up 115 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Upper Dublin found their leader in sophomore George Stein, who rushed for 241 yards and three scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Stein was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawson Tyler, who threw for 144 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
Quakertown now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Upper Dublin, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-4.
