After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oswego, Joliet West was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 42-33 win over the Romeoville Spartans. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Joliet West got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jada Thompson out in front who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Keniya Foster, who earned 13 points and three steals.

Joliet West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Joliet West's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Romeoville, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Joliet West will be home for the holidays to greet Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Romeoville, they will take on Oak Lawn in a tournament on Saturday.
