Basketball Game Preview: Richwood Rams vs. Sterlington Panthers

The Richwood Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Sterlington Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Richwood took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past North Webster 65-44. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Sterlington had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Bulldogs 69-37.

Richwood's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Sterlington, they are also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Richwood took a serious blow against Sterlington when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 60-28. Can Richwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
