Soccer Recap: Wickliffe Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wickliffe and Beachwood, and Beachwood kept the tradition alive. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Bison by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Wickliffe were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Beachwood apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Wickliffe's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Beachwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wickliffe will welcome Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beachwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
