Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Willamette + How To Watch

Willamette hadn't done well against Sheldon recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Irish with a sharp 29-7 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-0.

Zuzi Alwineyan was his usual excellent self, rushing for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Willamette's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Tony Cumberland and Tripp Johansen, who racked up six sacks between them. Cumberland is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

The victory keeps Willamette at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.3 points this season. As for Sheldon, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
