Basketball Recap: Mukwonago Comes Up Short

Mukwonago lost against Arrowhead back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mukwonago Indians took a 72-54 bruising from the Arrowhead Warhawks. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Warhawks are ranked first).

Natalie Kussow continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arrowhead, almost dropping a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, Kussow now owns an excellent 45.6% shooting accuracy. Sidney Zehner was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Mukwonago and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Arrowhead, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, Mukwonago will face off against Kettle Moraine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arrowhead, they will take on Notre Dame Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
