The Franklin Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Titusville Rockets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Franklin has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Titusville will arrive with eight straight wins.
Last Wednesday, Franklin came up short against Rocky Grove and fell 10-7.

Evan Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Luke Marsteller also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
While Titusville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a run and slipped past Grove City 12-11. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by just one run.
Kameron Mong made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mong was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ian McDonald, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Titusville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grove City only posted a batting average of .241.
Titusville's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Franklin has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Titusville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Franklin might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Titusville when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
