Baseball Recap: Hooks Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hooks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the De Kalb Bears, sneaking past 5-3. Five seems to be a good number for the Hornets as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win was the third in a row for Hooks, bringing their record up to 16-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for De Kalb, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-10 record.
