Softball Recap: Madisonville-North Hopkins Takes a Loss

Madisonville-North Hopkins was the 2-1 winner over Caldwell County when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Maroons fell 6-2 to the Tigers on Wednesday.

Mackenzie Stoltz was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stoltz was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Madisonville-North Hopkins' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 20-9-1. As for Caldwell County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Madisonville-North Hopkins nor Caldwell County have any future games scheduled.
