Volleyball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester was the 2-0 winner over Benton when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers on Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16.

AUBREY COLVIS paced Chester's offense, picking up three kills. COLVIS got some help from ALEAH EGGEMEYER and her ten assists. COLVIS was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Benton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.

Coincidentally, Chester and Benton will both be playing Wesclin the next time they take the court. The Rangers will head out to face the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
