Softball Recap: Thornton Academy Comes Up Short

Thornton Academy lost against Windham back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans lost 12-1 to the Eagles. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thornton Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tess Frager, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Thornton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Windham, their record now sits at 5-1.

Looking ahead, Thornton Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against South Portland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Riots have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Windham, they will challenge Scarborough at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
