Softball Recap: North Eugene's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

North Eugene lost against Crater last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Highlanders came up short against the Comets, falling 11-5. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly six runs.

Ella Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kaylani Washburn, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

North Eugene's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Crater, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.

While North Eugene had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
