Basketball Preview: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Flanagan Falcons
The Braddock Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Flanagan Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Wednesday, Braddock got the win against the Knights by a conclusive 53-33. Given Braddock's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Knights are ranked 542nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, everything went Flanagan's way against the Panthers on Wednesday as the Falcons made off with a 48-28 victory. The victory was just what Flanagan needed coming off of a 46-26 loss in their prior matchup.
Braddock pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Flanagan, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
Braddock took a serious blow against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 51-21. Can Braddock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
