Softball Recap: Colman-Egan Comes Up Short

Colman-Egan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Arlington Cardinals. The C-E Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Colman-Egan's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Arlington, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.

Colman-Egan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Deuel on the 15th. As for Arlington, they will head out on the road to square off against Elkton/Lake Benton on Wednesday. The Elks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
