Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Ridge Riverhawks vs. Twin Falls Bruins

After both having extra time off, the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks and the Twin Falls Bruins will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Two weeks ago, Canyon Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Minico, taking the game 59-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Riverhawks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canyon Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Conner Cartwright, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 17 points. Mason Hill was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six blocks.

Meanwhile, Twin Falls scored the most points they've had this season two weeks ago, but it wasn't enough. They fell to Columbia 70-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on December 10th (61), the Bruins still had to take the loss.

Canyon Ridge pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Twin Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
