Softball Game Preview: West Forsyth Titans vs. East Forsyth Eagles

The West Forsyth Titans will head out to square off against the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Forsyth is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

East Forsyth's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: West Forsyth hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. West Forsyth never let R.J. Reynolds get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth got the win against Glenn on Friday by a conclusive 8-1.

Allie Cox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aaliyah Long was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Hannah Niten was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

West Forsyth's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for East Forsyth, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

West Forsyth skirted past East Forsyth 4-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Forsyth since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
