Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Hurricane vs. Goshen Warriors
Wilmington lost against Goshen on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hurricane fell 3-1 to the Warriors. The Hurricane have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Miya Nance paced Wilmington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Nance got some help from Anna Niemesh and her 18 assists. Kynlei Cramton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Goshen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Ulrey led the charge by getting 22 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Ulrey has posted over her last seven matches. Savannah Chun was another key player, getting 17 digs and five assists.
Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Goshen, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilmington will welcome Monroe at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Goshen, they will square off against Clinton-Massie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
