Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions vs. Tree of Life Christian Trojans
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Tree of Life Christian on Wednesday. They blew past the Trojans 17-1. Considering the Lions have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lily Rader and Alex Mould made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Rader tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Mould tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Rader a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Rader fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4, while Mould went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that Mould has hit this season.
In other batting news, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin got a massive performance out of Becca Wooke, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Wooke has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Simon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
