Recap: Greenback Cherokees vs. Oliver Springs Bobcats
The Greenback Cherokees's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 56-47 victory over Oliver Springs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greenback also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Greenback's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shay McDonell, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Albright, who scored 13 points.
Greenback's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Oliver Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Greenback will be playing at home against Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oliver Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Harriman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Harriman is ranked 271st, while Oliver Springs is ranked 270th).
