Volleyball Recap: Pike Valley Panthers vs. Lincoln Leopards
Pike Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.
Pike Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22.
Tianna Reeves paced Pike Valley's offense, picking up three kills. Reeves got some help from Kinley Cooper and her three assists.
Pike Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-25. As for Lincoln, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-20-1.
Pike Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Natoma on the 11th. Hopefully Lincoln paid attention to the Panthers' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers on Tuesday.
