Softball Recap: Sierra Vista Takes a Loss

If Sierra Vista was riding high fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Baldwin Park on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dons came up short against the Duarte Falcons on Thursday, falling 9-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Sierra Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleena Mora, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Sierra Vista's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Duarte, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Sierra Vista will venture away from home to challenge Garey at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Duarte, they will host San Dimas at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
