Soccer Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss

Amphitheater fell victim to Ironwood Ridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Amphitheater and nudges their season record down to 6-4-2. As for Ironwood Ridge, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Amphitheater will host Rio Rico at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will head out to take on Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
