Basketball Recap: West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carrollton on Friday, West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] came back down to earth. The West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars had to suffer through a 48-21 loss at the hands of the Roxana Shells. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Roxana's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cohen Dugan, who went 5 for 8 to rack up 14 points. What's more, Dugan also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sean Maberry, who posted 11 points.

West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]'s loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Roxana, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] will challenge Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roxana, they will face off against Civic Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
