Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shoreland Lutheran). They blew past the Racine Lutheran/Prairie Crusaders 17-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Slayton Smith was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Shoreland Lutheran is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7-1 otherwise.
