Baseball Recap: West Warwick's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Warwick proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Greenwich Avengers, sneaking past 5-4. The win was familiar territory for the Wizards, who have now won three matches in a row.

The team relied heavily on Joe Riviera, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Jack Proulx was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

West Warwick's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for East Greenwich, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

West Warwick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-1 win against Times Squared Academy on the 22nd. As for East Greenwich, they will face off against Johnston at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Avengers and seven for the Panthers.
