Soccer Game Preview: Douglas vs. Arcadia

Douglas is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Arcadia is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Douglas Bulldogs will welcome the Arcadia Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Douglas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals last Friday, they were much more limited against Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Saints. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Arcadia kept a clean sheet against Sahuarita on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six contests by five goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Sahuarita from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Nancy Cagle led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Douglas' defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-2. As for Arcadia, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
