Basketball Recap: Valley Regional Takes a Loss

Valley Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 51-37 bruising from the East Hampton Bellringers. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Valley Regional lost, don't look at Noah Dolinsky. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 17 en route to 22 points. That was a full 59.5% of Valley Regional's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Valley Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for East Hampton, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Valley Regional will host North Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Hampton, they will head out on the road to challenge Haddam-Killingworth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Hampton is facing Haddam-Killingworth at the right time seeing as Haddam-Killingworth is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
