Basketball Recap: Freeman's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Freeman extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Taylee Phelps. The Freeman Scotties strolled past the Warden Cougars with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 59-41 thanks in part to Phelps, who dropped a double-double on 46 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Teague, who posted four points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Freeman pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Warden, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Freeman is taking a road trip to square off against Upper Columbia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warden, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Warden Cougars take on the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warden is facing Tri-Cities Prep at the right time seeing as Tri-Cities Prep is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
