Baseball Game Preview: McClatchy Lions vs. Antelope Titans

For the second straight game, McClatchy will face off against Antelope. The Lions will square off against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. McClatchy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Antelope's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, McClatchy made easy work of Antelope and carried off a 9-1 win. Considering the Lions have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Camden Salisbury looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Ryan Sandmeier was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

McClatchy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antelope only posted a batting average of .208.

Antelope's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8. As for McClatchy, their record now sits at 15-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. McClatchy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Antelope struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
