Volleyball Recap: Old Rochester Regional Gets the Win

Old Rochester Regional had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Among those leading the charge was Kaitlyn Rodrigues, who had 15 digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since October 8th.

Rodrigues wasn't the only good servers: Old Rochester Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 25 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Old Rochester Regional's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Old Rochester Regional has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Blackstone Valley RVT on the 4th. Shawsheen Valley Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
