Northern is 8-2 against Calvert since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will face off against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. Northern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Calvert will be up against a hot Northern squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Patriots' way against McDonough on Thursday as they made off with an 8-2 win. Considering the Patriots have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Miles Halbert, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Oliver Fox was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Calvert had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Thomas Stone a 20-0 shutout on Wednesday. That looming 20-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cavaliers yet this season.

Northern's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Calvert, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Northern skirted past Calvert 4-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
