Softball Recap: Osage City Takes a Loss

Osage City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Humboldt Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 on Monday.

Osage City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Humboldt, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osage City will host West Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Humboldt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Osawatomie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
