Volleyball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it nine. They came up short against the Westwood Panthers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since August 12th.

As for Westwood, their record is now 4-6. The match marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Westwood was led to victory by Kallie Blanton and Addison Calzada. Blanton had seven digs and four aces, while Calzada had 11 digs. That's the most aces Blanton has posted over her last four games. Lyla Huddleston also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Chapel Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against West Rusk on the 21st. As for Westwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Corsicana on the 22nd.
