Volleyball Recap: Britton-Hecla Falls Short of Groton in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Britton-Hecla can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Groton Tigers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in October.

The final score came out to 25-13, 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Britton-Hecla's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ava Teveldal, who had 15 digs and one assist, and Kennady Van Lith, who had eight digs. Teveldal has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Groton found their leader in sophomore Sydney Locke, who had 14 digs.

Britton-Hecla's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Groton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Britton-Hecla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Groton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Rapid City Christian on the 11th.
