Basketball Recap: Greenville Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Greenville Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 55-31 to the New Covenant School Cavaliers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-53 on January 7th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Covenant School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlie Cothran, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. Cothran has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Fulmer, who posted 14 points and six steals.

Greenville Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for New Covenant School, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Greenville Classical Academy will face off against Anderson Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for New Covenant School, they will take on Temple Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
