They blew past the Cowboys 57-17. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Cowboys are ranked 1355th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Newcastle is also on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.1 points per game. As for Garner, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.
