Softball Recap: Post Falls Takes a Loss

Post Falls extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-7. They came up short against the Lake City Timberwolves, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Post Falls saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenna Zimmerman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Zimmerman has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

As for Lake City, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

On Lake City's side, the team relied heavily on Tabitha Lopez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Brooklyn Caan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lake City beat Post Falls by a score of 18-8 later that day.
