Wakefield takes loss despite strong efforts from Allison Adams and Paige Smith

Recap: Wakefield Bombers vs. Douglass Bulldogs
On Saturday, Wakefield came up short against Douglass and fell 54-45.
Wakefield's loss came despite strong showings from Paige Smith and Allison Adams. Smith scored 25 points, while Adams scored 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Adams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Wakefield has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Douglass, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wakefield and Blue Valley will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Douglass' road trip will continue as they head out to face Kingman on January 26th.
