The result was an unpleasant reminder to Newton of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Parkview, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
Newton will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookwood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Newton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Brookwood is ranked 85th). As for Parkview, they will head out on the road to square off against Archer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Parkview is coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so Archer will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
