Baseball Game Preview: Palmerton Blue Bombers vs. Stroudsburg Mountaineers

The Palmerton Blue Bombers will face off against the Stroudsburg Mountaineers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Palmerton has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Palmerton lost 13-4 to Northwestern Lehigh on Friday. The Blue Bombers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Palmerton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Matkso, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Greyson Ahner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Stroudsburg and Whitehall finished up their game with an 8-8 tie on Friday.

With that tie, Stroudsburg's record moves to 3-2-1. As for Palmerton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
