Basketball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Benjamin Franklin was the 48-30 winner over Northwest Christian when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 60-59 to the Crusaders. The contest marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Benjamin Franklin's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Sang, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Sang has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 63% every time he's hit the court this season. Brody Hansen was another key player, shooting 42% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Benjamin Franklin fell to 4-1. As for Northwest Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Benjamin Franklin is taking a road trip to square off against Seton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Sentinels have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Northwest Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Odyssey Institute at 7:00 p.m.
